Local businesses in the Threlkend area of Cumbria are achieving speeds of 20Mbps with the use of 4G Dongles and Routers with Everything Everywhere’s existing 1800MHz airwaves.

Threlkend currently has insufficient or unreliable broadband and so Everything Everywhere chose this location for the live trial to understand how the technology will perform in a real life condition.

Business involved in the trial include a regional office of United Utilities, the Blencathra Centre field studies educational facility and a number of web developers. Those testing the service have said that it was already having a positive impact on their day-to-day operations.
